Seattle, WA (1972-1990)

Twenties: Studied Malevich, Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian at UC Berkeley. Loved work from Keith Haring and Brett Cook-Dizney. Traveled to Europe and Asia, lived in Cambodia for almost a year. Spent two weeks at Angkor Wat.

Late Twenties: Worked for RelevantKnowledge, went public (JMXI), had best boss and colleagues ever. Painted. Quit job. Painted more. Had art show with Hebbe. Traveled to Germany, Budaphest, Prague and Turkey. “Why don’t I meet anyone who voted for George Bush?” asked the hotel owner in the southeast of the country (2002, before Iraq War).

Thirties: Painted more, bigger. Took sculpture and film classes at San Francisco City College. Traveled to Mayan ruins in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Started FunkyEnough.

Moved from Oakland to Maui
Late Thirties
: Took color class. Had epiphany.

I think the color box has a lot of potential educational, recreation, and therapeutic uses!
